The hydrologist had planned the drainage for this wind park to occur via soil drainage systems – however, it became apparent that these were not adequate for the drawdown. In order to solve this problem, deep wells had to be bored at short notice, but these multiplied the amount of water to be drained. We therefore created new drainage ditches and infiltration areas and quickly built settling basins and drainage ditches to induce the discharge of water. The drawdown had to be constantly monitored in order to adhere to the construction schedules.
We were able to avoid a similarly cost-intensive procedure for two other wind turbines by raising the foundation level. This allowed us to achieve significant cost savings. wiwi consult also undertook the supervision of the planning and construction of the cable line (around 18 metres in length).
